Joining Our Organization

Membership to Women in Business is capped at approximately 120 active members, which leads us to require an application and interview process to obtain membership. Each semester, a written application is sent out to prospective members, and if selected, a number of women are invited to participate in 1-2 rounds of meet-and-greet style interviews with the leadership team. Once membership is obtained, members must meet point requirements to remain in active member status with the organization and maintain eligibility to participate in events.

  • BBA Org Fair: Sept. 9th (Wednesday) - 4:00pm to 7:00pm @ Gordon’s Commons

  • RSO Org Fair: Sept. 9th (Wednesday) - 4:30pm to 8:00pm @ Kohl Center

    & Sept. 10th (Thursday) - 4:30pm to 8:00pm @ Kohl Center

  • WIB Info Session: Sept. 9th (Wednesday) - 7:30pm to 8:30pm @ Grainger 2080

  • Why WIB Member Panel: Sept. 10th (Thursday) - 7:00pm to 8:00pm @ Grainger 2080

  • Applications Open: Sept. 10th (Thursday) at 8:30pm CST

  • WIB Networking: Sept. 11th (Friday) - 2:00pm to 4:00pm @ Grainger 2510

  • Applications Close: Sept. 12th (Saturday), 11:59pm CST

  • Interviews Round 1: Sept. 14th (Monday) - 5:00pm to 9:00pm (Invite Only)

  • Interview Round 2: Sept. 15th (Tuesday) - 5:00pm to 9:00pm (Invite Only)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I apply if I am not a business major? YES! WIB is open to all majors!!

What is the time commitment? We range from about 1-4 events a week and have a point system for attendance. WIB is a high commitment club!

Can I re-apply if I don’t get in? Yes, you can apply as many times as you would like! (Many of our members have applied more than once.)
